What is executive career coaching ?

Executive career coaching supports senior leaders, executives and professionals with career related challenges such as career planning, navigating the executive job market, gaining promotion, transitioning from management to senior leadership,  navigating corporate politics, handling re-deployment, returning to the corporate environment after a career break and/or changing career direction.  

It also helps them to develop their leadership profile in terms of achieving an appropriate balance between personal aspirations and  organisational goals so that they can be totally authentic in their leadership style.  Authentic leaders are typically more effective team players and so more inspirational for their people.

I use an ecclectic mix of self-assessment, 360 degree feedback and psychometric questionnaires (MBTI; Belbin; TIEQue and TKI) that enable you identify your innate skills and talents, your  key comptencies, your work personality and your preferred team role(s).  This enables you determine your ideal role, your ideal work environment and the leadership style and culture to which you are best suited.

I work with you to formulate your short-term, medium-term and long-term career goals and put together a detailed career plan.  This enables you to keep your ideal role top of mind and to evaluate on-going career opportunties.    

I work with you to develop a winning curriculum vitae that reflects your personal brand in terms of your authentic self, your professional profile, your track record and your unique selling points. 

:: Job Search Campaigns ::

I support you to develop an effective job search campaign which includes professional networking, accessing the 'unadvertised job market' and identifying suitable headhunters and executive search consultants.  And I hold you accountable so that you remain efficient and focused in your job search activities.

I facilitate mock interviews and/or presentations and give feedback on your interview technique and personal impact. These are videoed these so as to provide you with useful material for self-evaluation.  

I help you to evaluate job offers and/or to work through tricky salary negotiations and can be on hand during the all important first 100 days in your new role.

I help you to work through significant career dilemmas such as changing direction, returning to work after a career break and handling re-deployment.  I coach you to understand the nature of your dilemma, deal with any limiting beliefs and gain clarity around what you need to do to move forward.

I enable you to understand the dynamics of corporate politics and tap into your emotional intelligence to navigate these with elegance.  I help you acquire effective techniques for handling people you find difficult, deal with the associated frustration and minimise any impact on your performance.
